For consumers, carers, families and kin

Some helpful resources for consumers, carers, families and kin.

We handle complaints from consumers, carers, families and kin about Victorian public mental health and wellbeing services. These complaints can relate to access to services, the treatment and care provided, and whether the service followed the principles of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022. We also promote, support and protect the rights of consumers, families, carers, supporters and kin.

If you, or someone you care for, have concerns about your experience at a public mental health and wellbeing service, then you have the right to make a complaint.

You can make the complaint directly to the service, or, you can make a complaint about the service to us. Visit our complaints page to find out more.
